"we developed a custom shelving system precisely calibrated to the proportions of the product." – andy bernheimer
situated in the historic hancock park neighborhood, our larchmont apothecary marked our first foray into the city of los angeles. designed by brooklyn-based architect andrew bernheimer, this space was influenced by the modernist case study houses peppering the slopes of southern california.
a gridded shelving system that drew inspiration from piet mondrian and charlotte perriand frames the space, matched with an identical pattern etched onto an opposing wall. an old haberdashery table from a hudson antique shop anchors the space and provides a counterpoint to the contemporary interiors.
